I only remember this sentence. I like such a sentence, because it is full of meaning.

Just listen: Less tak, more do.

What does it mean? It shows you a way out of a possible tendency to talk and talk and talk, and talk again – instead of acting.

Nothing happens before someone do something.

Action beats everything.

As you might have noticed, Caroline Wozniacki now is no. 1 in tennis. It is remarkable. She is from Denmark and never before has a Danish woman been the best tennisplayer in the world.

She is now 20 years old, but 8 years ago this one of her goals was formulated – as shown at TV.

Many years ago i read about goals. At that time I understood an important lesson about goals. Usually formulated goals are OK, but reaching or not reaching them has to do with commitment. If your are willing to do what you have to do, you will reach your goal. If you are unwilling to do so, you will not reach your goal. Simple, isn’t it?

A goal is achieved commiting oneself to do what has to be done!

This has nothing to do with being away, disappear or get lost. It has to do with stopping doing something you have been busy doing over time. It may also have to do with not solving problems, you have, but which continue to be unfinished.

Many people know how it is not to work on particular taks, which then is allowed to lie unsolved. I remember once this issue was part of a course I made, and a most telling example was the participant who had to have not one but two sleepless nights in a row before undone tasks was done.

When I think back on my life, to get away from something has been a familiar behavior. You can call it postponement, if you prefer. I think basically the mechanism is the same. Whether it has to do with having too much to do, I do not believe is the point, but rather perhaps having too many activities ongoing uprioritised at the same time. To postpone or not doing may be conscious decisions, but in some situation less clear ones.

As an example, I look at how I got away from using Facebook. I had been on holiday and a small, sneaking internal self-talk led to one delay after another. I’ll write this afternoon, tomorrow, in the weekend etc, which is repeated and repeated. The problem may well be that it is not just a single day this mechanism is true, it may continue, as you see, for a very long period – and it is forgotten that something should have been done.

It seems important to make clear to oneself that this kind of get away from, which I write about, are not in the category of miracles – something that just happens. It’s not exactly something that just happens. It is active decisions – a choice between doing what one would or should and not doing it. These decisions will always be heard as the internal dialogue. It may be there are many throughout the day (I’ll wait till after lunch, I’ll wait till late afternoon, I’ll do it tonight), but suddenly the time has elapsed and an excuse to wait until tomorrow is obvious.

If the same thing happens day after day, it may be the job never is resumed – or it happens by “coming back and proceed with”.

Interestingly enough, this phenomenon has not changed after I retired. It has as always to do with commitment.

How do you feel about this phenomenon?

This article was written in Danish, translated to English by Google Translate and ajusted to be – I hope – readable.

He is a young man who is making a very OK income as internet maketer. He earns – as I understand it – a lot of money every month by selling his products.

Take a look at his blog an find out if some of his products will be helpfull to you to get on with your life.

But – I think time can’t be managed, only what you use your time to do. Yours time is exactly the same as mine, but we do somthing different, but what we do in our life is not the same.

So – life management is what it is about!

Here is the link to Robert Planks post about time-management.

Personal development is moving from A to B.

Personal development is not only being better to something, acquireing new competances or learning new ways of behaving. It is not only moving from A to B.

Personal development is also to extricate yourself from somthing you are tied up in. If you are giving up or slacking an old way of doing or thinking, which don’t lead to anything good, it is personal development.

Maybe it is not the usual way of thinking of personal development, but don’t forget it.

Are you saying “I am going to do more of this and less of that”, and doing it, it is personal development – and you are getting on with your life.

When I looked for some eBooks on personal development, I found White Dove Books.

I like the way Will Edwards is running his internet business. Take a look for yourself.
